How MSRP Discount pricing method works
The documentation will show you how to use the MSRP price instead of Sales Price in the Inventory Pricing Level as the unit price.

When MSRP discount pricing method is selected, then the unit price is computed as:
[MSRP ( 1 - ((Percent/Amount)/100))] = Unit Price
[16.50 (1-(10/100))] = 14.85
