Returned Payment with Overpayment

This is a Receive Payment transaction with an Overpayment.

 

Here is the Overpayment transaction created after posting the above Receive Payment transaction.

 

When the Receive Payment with Overpayment is returned, a transaction with positive (returned) overpayment will be created to offset the original overpayment. This way, the original and the returned overpayments could be easily traced.

 

Here you will see the original overpayment and the returned overpayment.

 

Posting a Receive Payments with the Original Overpayment and the Returned Overpayment selected will cancel each other out.
